The philosophy

Art happens everyday. More often than not, it lives hidden in our basic everyday tasks, movements, routines and activities.

Art does not happen in the conceptualizing mind of the artist or in the quiet comfort of the studio. Rather, it is the byproduct of hard work, of labor.  It springs out of our daily lives, out of  loving, dancing, sleeping, working and so much more...

The true value of art lies in that it is a direct reflection of life, of what makes us ponder, what makes us smile, what makes us happy, what makes us love. It is fundamentally irrelevant that a piece is "pretty" , or "clever" or technically impressive if it does not resonate deep within our consciousness or collective unconscious.

Like music, these paintings are (visual) "tracks", beats, rhythms all superimposed/overdubbed together to create specific harmonies or discordances.

Everything is created, stretched and framed by hand, and with a little help form island carpenters.
